1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Vella, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use our service.

2. Account Eligibility and Security

You must provide accurate information, including your name and email address, to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and your email inbox, as we use email magic links and social logins (Google, Apple, Facebook) for authentication instead of passwords. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Billing, Subscriptions, and Credits

Paid features on Vella may include recurring subscriptions and one-time credit purchases. Prices and plan details are displayed during the checkout process. Payments are processed securely by third-party providers (such as Stripe).

• Credit Mechanics: Credits are consumed when you generate AI images for your cards. If you are on a subscription plan, your subscription credits reset upon plan renewal or specific plan events.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your subscription will not renew, but you may still be able to use any remaining purchased credits until they expire or the account is closed.
• Refunds: Unless required by law, all fees paid for subscriptions and one-time credit purchases are non-refundable once used or consumed.

4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Content

You agree not to use Vella for any unlawful, abusive, infringing, or fraudulent activities. Specifically, you may not use the service to generate harmful, offensive, explicit, or illegal content, whether in card text or AI image generation prompts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these guidelines.

5. Intellectual Property and Content Rights

Vella and its related branding, software, and service materials are owned by Vella or its licensors.

Your Content: You retain ownership of the text and content you submit to create cards. By submitting content and AI prompts, you grant Vella a license to process, store, and use that content to operate, deliver, and improve the service. You also own the rights to the AI-generated outputs created through your prompts, subject to our acceptable use policy.

6. Service Availability and Changes

We strive to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service or the entire service at any time without prior notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vella and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vella operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that region.
